After almost 30 years of existence of the leather manufactory Pyrate Style, Fritz Ahrens and Holger Hechtenberg have developed extensive knowledge in the artisanal leather processing.

In order to create further space for innovative ideas and products in addition to the successful brand “Pyrate Style”, the label “DAS ATELIER HAMBURG” was founded in spring 2012. The range of high-quality leather belts and individually designed belt buckles, including sterling silver, is presented in the ambience of a “creative workshop”. Here, the process of creation is made tangible: the workbench, embossing tongs and leather samples in different colors and qualities provide authentic flair.

The makers are primarily concerned with “the leather experience” – experiencing leather with all the senses.
