Motel a Mío is a small, fine pottery label from Munich that specialises in unique, hand-picked and hand-painted ceramics from Portugal. Each piece from Motel a mío conjures up a little piece of holiday in your own four walls!

Motel a Mío wants to make unique ceramics accessible to everyone who loves the beautiful things in life. It is important to the family business to remain true to certain principles: The goods are produced in a fair and environmentally friendly way in Portugal, the designs are hand-picked and hand-painted. The result? Unique pieces to fall in love with!

Anna von Hellberg, 35, art director & mother of a daughter and Laura Castien, 35, illustrator, graphic designer & mother of two daughters: the two creative minds behind Motel a mío have known each other since school and both like to travel a lot – after many years abroad, they have both settled in their home city of Munich. Now they travel together with our families – preferably to Portugal. And this is also where the Motel a mío journey began!
